Story
On the night Rune’s life changed forever, blood ran in the streets. Now, in the aftermath of a devastating revolution, witches have been diminished from powerful rulers to outcasts ruthlessly hunted due to their waning magic, and Rune must hide what she is. Spending her days pretending to be nothing more than a vapid young socialite, Rune spends her nights as the Crimson Moth, a witch vigilante who rescues her kind from being purged. When a rescue goes wrong, she decides to throw the witch hunters off her scent and gain the intel she desperately needs by courting the handsome Gideon Sharpe.

I am not okay
Reviewed: 03-24-25
That ending. I’m worn out.
I am not okay. This one is deep. Trauma. Evil. Enemies to…lovers? To enemies. Witches versus non-witches. I yelled at a character or two. I cried. So much misunderstanding. So much fear of being honest. So much pain.
The narrator did an awesome job.

Yay! Wren’s story!
Reviewed: 03-22-25
The audio was great! I could easily tell the characters by the voices. It’s a great duet. I love Kip. He keeps things light when you need it. As for Wren and Torj…my heart hurts! Several times in the story. And now a new war looms on the horizon. I understand the decision made in the cliffhanger, but I still want to pop the character on the back of the head! Can’t wait for the next installment in Thezmarr!!

Why haven’t I heard more about these books????
Reviewed: 03-03-25
How come I haven't heard more about this series?! Totally not what I was thinking it was about. The blurbs don't do it justice. Gods inhabiting humans. Can there even be an HEA for the FMC? And if so, who??? While I haven't cried in this series, there are a few sad parts. A few funnies in the form of sarcasm or side comments made. A few jaw-droppers. Suspense. How the heck can he be stopped??? All the deception. Wow. It's going to be hard to wait until the end of July for the next installment! And the audio is awesome!!

Reviewed: 02-25-25
It’s like The Hunger Games in that there are different trials that end with competitors being un-alived. Time is their currency. Of course there is evil. You don’t have games where it’s win or un-alive without evil! Cliffhanger ending I did not see coming. And the audio is so good!!

Story
Sutton going missing is the worst thing to happen to Casey, to their family. She's trying to help find her sister, but Casey is furious. And she can't tell anyone about their argument before Sutton disappeared. Everyone paints a picture of Sutton's perfection: the popular cheerleader with an entourage of friends, a doting boyfriend, and a limitless future. But Sutton manipulated everyone around her, even stole an heirloom bracelet from Casey. People don't look for missing Black girls—or half-Black girls—without believing there is an angel to be saved.

Awesome narration and story!

This was an excellent read. Not my usual. No romance. No fantasy. But was still great! It starts with a family and community looking for a missing girl. Most of the book if the younger sister’s pov. Flashbacks are the missing girl’s pov. The missing girl returns with no memory of what happened to her. There are hints and clues given throughout the whole story but you don’t know for sure what happened to her until the last part. Jaw dropping moments! The sisters are teens, and they have typical sibling angst. The family dynamics throughout the story are displayed so well. The author includes information about slavery and genealogy. At the end she has a note explaining what and why she included certain aspects. Kudos, Lily Meade.

Another under promoted winner! So good!

Wow. The farther along this book went the better it got. It was soooo good! I started the audio book to read in the car and as I worked out when I couldn't read what was on my Kindle. I ended up listening non-stop until it was finished! This world just gets bigger and bigger as the story goes on. If you are one that gets triggered by things, make sure you read the TW. Enemies to lovers, slow burn, shadow daddy, evil magic... It will make you laugh, shout, and even tear up a little. You will fall in love and hate. I'm headed to the prequel since the author suggests reading it before book 2 (out sometime later this year, hopefully!!). I've had this on my Kindle TBR forever it seems. I will definitely be buying the physical book as well. The audio was also really good. I haven't seen this book recommended much - so I will definitely be putting it out there so others will pick it up!

Oh my suns…
Reviewed: 02-09-25
Oh my suns. I devoured this one. I loved the audio. They did a great job using different voices for the characters. O’Riley created an awesome world with the different realms so well that she completely suspended my disbelief. The characters were so real and believable. The relationships between the main three characters were so good. I think Eli is my favorite. I can put almost every word out of his mouth as favorite quotes. The grumpy/sunshine trope has a unique twist in this one! There is morally VERY dark gray character. And SPICE! Day-yum. Spice and suspense. Laughter and tears. I can’t wait for June and book 4.
Chapter three has to be one of the funniest chapters of any book I’ve read! Every time I stopped laughing Eli would say something else! “Truthfully, I had been going for something much larger in size, but like any man, it was second nature to exaggerate the size of my balls.”

Erin Craig did it again. Made me shout at her book. At least this time it wasn’t at a cliffhanger ending. I had strong works for the FMC several times about her decisions. But that ending. So good. I even cried some. Such a good book with a unique storyline. Loved it. “A wish was but a hopeful regret.” The audio was fabulous!
