Wow, I wasn't expecting this book to be fantastic

Seriously - give this book a shot.
I'll admit, when I bought this book I didn't expect it to be much more than something to make my drive a little more interesting. As it turns out, I was pleasantly surprised.
The plot is both unique and interesting, the characters are likeable, and the pacing of the story left nothing to be desired.

Fantastic from beginning to end. Give it a chance, as it's not at all what you expect out of a book from this genre.

An Excellent Book Read Well

Give it a chance - I was surprised by how much I liked this book. It's neither saccharine nor overly gritty, but a nice middle-ground high fantasy book. The story is well paced and leaves enough unanswered questions to truly encourage the reader to look forward to the next book without feeling like you've been ripped-off.

A few secret murders, mathematically planned. So that no faction can ever dominate, and the balance holds. And yet the balance is beginning to give way.

Fantastic Book
Reviewed: 03-16-17
What did you love best about Seven Surrenders?
The characters, the intelligent asides, the plot was extremely interesting, the mystery elements kept me turning pages, and the overall writing was fantastic.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Seven Surrenders?
It would give too much away
Which character – as performed by T. Ryder Smith – was your favorite?
Mycroft
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Again, it would give too much away - but I can say that I keep a distance between myself and the world, and myself and any book. It's hard to move me, but there were several scenes in this book that stirred something in me to a greater degree than any book I can remember reading or listening to in a long time.
Any additional comments?
Truly, I loved this book. Too Like the Lightening was my favorite book of 2016, and Seven Surrenders just may be my favorite book of 2017.
