As good as the others with one exception

This is a fine example of Kerr's writing and of detective novels. However, I missed John Lee's excellent narration. it was still a worthwhile listen.

The dialogue was a bit predictable. It reminded me of every spy movie I've seen. A decent listen, though.

In the annals of business trips gone horribly wrong, Evangeline Harker's journey to Romania on behalf of her employer, the popular television newsmagazine The Hour, deserves pride of place. but not my much. Really good narration and the writer has a gift for description. Unfortunately, the writer also has a talent for dragging-out a plot premise.

Story
Michael McGill is a burned-out private detective who suddenly becomes enlisted by an army of presidential goons to retrieve the Constitution of the United States, but not the one we all know about. This would be the real Constitution (the one with invisible amendments), created by some of the Founding Fathers as a fall back for their great experiment.

This book was hilarious. Yes, there are some cringe-worthy moments but it was all in good fun. The narrator was excellent. I lost a lot of sleep with this book because i could not stop listening to it.

The narration and audio on this book is almost unbearable. The story is a very good one and extremely original. Unfortunately, its difficult to listen to audiobook. The dramatization was amateurish at best and the background sound effects were entirely too loud.
