Story
Mal's first priority is giving his six-year-old son the best Christmas ever, a goal made trickier by a recent move to New England after losing his job. As a single dad, he's not looking for romance—especially not with a blond California boy 10 years his junior.

Story
Leti Ando and Will Hackett are certain about one thing in all the galaxy. They love one another. Now that they are mated, it's time to meet Hack's parents and settle into their new home. In a normal courtship, the two would spend time getting to know one another and reveling in their love. Normal isn't what they get. Leti struggles to understand the artifact Dr. Morrick left them, but what he's discovering is unbelievable and completely frightening. If his theories are true, then the entire galaxy is at risk.

I want a Princess of my own!

This is the second book in The Blue Solace series and we again follow Hack and Leti. The story follows directly after the events of book one so be sure to listen to that one first.
In this book we reach Hacks home station and meet his family both new and old. There is plenty of action and it is confirmed that Princess Buttercup is one badass dragon :-D But the best thing is Leti. Leti makes me happy. There is just something so nice and uplifting about reading about happy and really nice people.
Will absolutely recommed!

Old favorit in a new way

I’ve read this book multiple times and liked it enormously, so it was a fun experience to listen to it this time.
I liked the narrator. He captured the tone of the book well - so it was a little like being wraped in cotton wool.
Overall a very nice cosy experience. 5 stars

Story
Dover Rees is a guppy-tailed merman and the youngest child of the king of the Southern Silver Isles. Despite the lofty title, he fits in better with the other guppy-tailed working class than with his royal siblings. Dover spends his days secluded in his creek, successfully avoiding the king’s court and all the judgmental nobles there. Then, the most wondrous and horrible thing happens. He hears the mating call and knows his alpha is waiting for him.

Promising start to a new serie

I have greatly enjoyed CW Grays other series Blue Solace and Hobson Hills Omegas, so I was really looking forward to this one.
I give the story 4 stars because I felt the worldbuilding was rather downplayed in the first half of the book. Ms Gray came through though in the second half and included a plottwist that I definetely did not see coming, and now I can’t wait to read the next book which is thankfully already out :-)
This is the second book I have heard narrated by Connor Brown and once you get the hang of his accent, it makes for a very pleasant listen. 5 stars.

Cute and quirky sci-fi mpreg

This is book six in The Blue Solace-series and should be read in order. So for biggest enjoyment start with The Mercenary’s Mate.
The book focus on Draif and Lucas and their long awaited journey to happiness. Draif is demi and I have really enjoyed the slow evolvement of their romance through the series. Lucas knew from the start that they are mates but has the patience and good sense to take the time necessary for Draif to fall in love too.
I really like the universe that CW Gray has built here. I like all the different kinds of aliens with all their individual and kultural quirks. It makes for an interesting and diverse setting for a tale as old as time: Good vs Evil.
In all the books in this series The Heroes are really good and The Villains are really bad. So if you are looking for a smooth, easy and very delightful break from everday stresses this is a highly recommended read.

Would you listen to Drageblod (Legenden om Hurog 2) again? Why?
Helt sikkert - det har jeg allerede gjort. Fortællingen har så m,ange dybder, at man slet ikke kan fange det hele første gang.
What other book might you compare Drageblod (Legenden om Hurog 2) to and why?
Drageblod er High Fantasty og stilen minder meget om Tamora Pierces bøger i en lidt mere voksen udgave.
Any additional comments?
Jeg kan kun anbefale bogen/lydbogen, og alt andet skrevet af Patricia Briggs
