This is an interesting & provoking look at the Crucifiction & the Resurrection that I listened to in preperation for Easter this year. It is yet another great look at 2 pre-eminent sunjects to Christians. Carson gives a conservative, theologically sound & rich interpretation of events, words, & phrases that left me in awe of the old, old story.

Story
There's no scoreboard in the sanctuary, and the only plate is probably for the offering. But every church leader needs to know how to win, and every congregation needs to know when to cheer. This insightful book speaks to every church leader who yearns for a simpler, more effective approach to ministry. An engaging parable about one overwhelmed pastor is followed by an overview of seven successful team practices, each one developed and applied in a ministry setting.

Andy Stanley is a bit out of my comfort zone but he is someone a person should learn some things from. Not all of his principles do I agree with but he challenged me in some areas I needed it done.

Story
It can no longer be assumed that most people - or even most Christians - have a basic understanding of the Bible. Many don’t know the difference between the Old and New Testament, and even the more well-known biblical figures are often misunderstood. It is getting harder to talk about Jesus accurately and compellingly because listeners have no proper context with which to understand God’s story of redemption. In this basic introduction to faith, D. A. Carson takes seekers, new Christians, and small groups through the big story of scripture. He helps listeners to know what they believe and why they believe it.

Story
It takes no courage to sign up as a Protestant. These words begin this bold work - the culmination of David Wells' long-standing critique of the evangelical landscape. But to live as a true Protestant - that's another matter. This audiobook is a jeremiad against new versions of Evangelicalism - the Marketing and Emergent Churches - and a call to return to the historic faith, one defined by Reformation solas (grace, faith, and scripture alone) and to a reverence for doctrine.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is not a new book but a book that needs to be looked at frequently by those who claim fundamentalism as their theological and practical point of view. The book is as relevant now as when it was written, and in many minds more relevant.

Where does The Art of Storytelling: From Parents to Professionals rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of the best audiobooks I have listened to, and I try to choose books that are going to be informative, helpful, and entertaining.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Professor Harvey and her host of helpers were great to listen to, as they get into character it helped me to know how to get in character
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was moved throughout the book but the opening story does what an opening story ought to do, it takes something simple, and makes it seem as big as the world and as big as you and I.
