Felt more like a "young teen litRPG" than a spoof

Would you try another book from Garrett Boggs and/or Matthew Broadhead?
Yeah, sure
Would you be willing to try another book from Garrett Boggs? Why or why not?
I would, but not another "spoof"
What about Matthew Broadhead’s performance did you like?
It was ok... Funny. I think the book would be hard to narrate better
Was Warscapia worth the listening time?
Yes. But it might not have been if it was longer
Any additional comments?
Short... There are lots of great LitRPG on audible you rather can get for your credit. This one is different from most om the though.
I felt like I was too old for the book. Might not be for LitRPG fans...

Story
For over 30 years, Dominion of Blades has been the hottest online role-playing game in the world. But the game is too real for some, and after an epidemic of real-life fatalities, public use of the immersion technology has been banned. Jonah wakes to find himself in-game, level one, with no memory of how he arrived and no way to eject. With only two companions, trapped in a world that once hosted millions, Jonah must battle his way across a treacherous landscape, fighting virtual monsters, all too real pain, and a very human enemy.

Well written - Serious, but also funny

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yeah. It's a great read and the first thing I did after I finished was checking if the next one in the series was out.
What other book might you compare Dominion of Blades to and why?
LitRPGs usually have many similarities. DoB has an "NPC-beginning", kind of like the Dark Paladin Series, but the overall fell was maybe more like Delvers LLC.
Which scene was your favorite?
When we first meet Popper (and generally his whole character)
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really, but the part in "the lake" was pretty hardcore. I was listening on speaker from my phone and my friend walk in and stayed for 5 minutes. Kind of awkward...
Any additional comments?
The narrator seemed like a strange choice at first, but it turned out great. Amazing performance btw!
Was curious about how the backstory (outside of the game) would make sense, but they made it work.
Power spike: It's a part of the story in a good way, but like many other LitRPGs the way from lvl 1 till "endgame" seems short and uneven.
