This book never gets scary or interesting. At it's heart, it's nothing more than a straight romance between a boring woman and her therapist. The mystery at hand has a simple explanation, but also, ghosts are real and the main character can inexplicably see them. I wish I could give it zero stars.

Would you try another book from Christian Giovanni and/or Lisa Larsen?

No

Has From the Kitchen to the Grave turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

What does Lisa Larsen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is fine.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from From the Kitchen to the Grave?

The whole thing

Any additional comments?

Don't even bother with this one. Terrible. Weird. You can see the "twist" ending coming from a mile away. Awkward prose, unrealistic characters- a smooth talking cool criminal junkie who's totally in control? Who wears a black trench coat and expensive boots? Who wields a meticulously described shotgun? This may have been written by a 12 year old boy.
