Domestic Violence Abuse
Reviewed: 03-24-23
This book left me upset. I hated Choppa all the way through, even to the very end of the book. I found Jules to be extremely stupid and unrealistically gullible. This book screams accept domestic violence abuse for many years and hope the man doesn't kill you in the end. I hate that Choppa never got what he deserved as he destroyed many lives and caused endless trauma along the way.

Started slow but was a good read

This book started off slow, but picked up the pace around chapter 3. It turned out to be a good read. But I hate the way it ended. No accountability for one of the main characters.

This was a slow burn. It was very slow to start. Almost made me stop listening, but I kept listening and I'm glad I did. The author did a great job of developing each character. The end was explosive and left a good cliffhanger. Had me eager to dive into the next book. Book 2 here I come!

The story dragged on too long
Reviewed: 12-30-20
The storyline was okay. The story was dragged out with a lot of insignificant details. I wish the author would have spent more time developing the characters in the story. The story was boring up until about Chapter 30, then it finally started getting interesting.

Story
Morgan Atkins is used to losing, but losing Messiah Williams was the most tragic of them all. Surely, after Messiah, no other man could compare. Settling with Sebastian Fredrick didn't seem like such an impossible task. He treated her well enough, he accepted her children, and he offered her entrance into a well-connected world. There was only one problem: He wanted to change her into someone else. The rules that went along with his lifestyle suffocated her, and when Morgan reconnected with Messiah's crew, she no longer wanted to play by Bash’s rules.
