Story
In Heroes Die and Blade of Tyshalle, Matthew Stover created a new kind of fantasy novel, and a new kind of hero to go with it: Caine, a street thug turned superstar, battling in a future where reality shows take place in another dimension, on a world where magic exists and gods are up close and personal. In that beautiful, savage land, Caine is an assassin without peer, a living legend born from one of the highest-rated reality shows ever made.

Damm. Just ridiculous how fun this part of the story is. Young Caine and Caine just stomping butt. And it's so fascinating to ride along as Caine pieces everything together. A+++. Narrator's best performance too.

I don't have the words. Best fantasy/sci-fi series period. Caine and Stover have no peers. Amazing performance too.

I've read many of the great sci-fi and fantasy series and this is far and above my favorite. It has elements of both sci-fi and fantasy which is pretty cool. The badassery of Caine is peerless. He's so easy to relate to man to man and it's an absolute joy to get his perspective through Stover's masterful writing. This first book in the series I've read several times now and it's an epic adventure to save the girl and a great intro to the Acts of Caine. Don't miss out..

Even more impressive than this wonderful sequel is the voice acting performance. Pay attention to it... it's outstanding.
The story itself is fantastic. Well written, great flow, awesome action, loveable characters. Original, creative and entertaining! This is my second time through and it's something I'll revisit regularly for years to come.

The action begins six days after a series of explosions devastated Washington, D.C., targeting the National Counterterrorism Center and killing 185 people, including public officials and CIA employees. This is so masterfully written! I feel lucky for having found it and taken the time to listen to it. it's a must for all fans of war and sci-fi... but it's much more than that. One could teach a class on the level of writing skill alone. 5 Star narration helps.

Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy that began with A Game of Thrones. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

Terrible reading

I actually haven't finished listening because I can't stand how every character sounds old. stories like this one should not be read by an old man. no offers to narrator but poor choice by audible. I just listened to A Wise Man's Fear before this, stellar reading. I could barely understand the old man reading Feast for Crows.
