I actually liked the prequel better

I’m saddened by the general rage of voices. It was hard to see the different characters at times. The story was good but the prequel had a richer set of characters.

Touch of beauty and the beast vibe

I enjoyed this. I don’t need the adult action sections. Although it worked for the body paint part. Definitely a hero’s journey.

I am grateful I was able to listen to the story. Finding time to sit and read all the books would have taken this amazing adventure from me. Thank you!

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

This writer will take you down a path of twits and turns you won’t want to stop listening till the end! I have not been so taken in by a story to be turned back around. I love books both bound and audible. It has been decades since a writer has caught me off guard! I am a person who predicts the next words or action. I know who did it and why long before the story unravels. I almost stopped listening due to my own life events, but am am so grateful I didn’t! Thank you Anni Taylor!

Story
War is a constant threat on Dell Preston's horizon. As beta of the Lorimar pack, her job is to maintain the peace on the new border between Faerie and Earth at all costs. Even if that means playing nice with her ex, Isaac, the fae who savaged her wolf's soul, and Enzo Garza, the flirty witch who ought to be focused on building up their magical defenses instead of tearing down the walls around Dell's heart.

Del’s voice is wrong! She sounds like Cam. This is not as fun to listen to. Del is supposed to have a country twang. Very saddened by this.
