Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Most addictive story I have ready in YEARS

I am cringing at the wait for the next book!
I fell in LOVEEEE with this story. I laughed and I cried, I felt every emotion under the sun and couldn't stop listening!
The comments about the narration almost made me miss out on the most addictive book I can remember reading/listening to in at least the last 6 years and I read/listen to the constantly!
I honestly didn't focus on the narrator swallowing.. I really only noticed it no more than 5 times and I thought it was normal sounding.. Like we all breathe and have saliva.
The narration was great for this story and I am so thankful I gave it a try!
This isn't an epic world-building story but it does a wonderful job of giving you all you need within it!
This gets a little intense with the sex scenes but the story makes it great! I stayed on the edge of my seat!
THANK YOU!!
It is going to be a long wait..........

Holt and Ash saved the kingdom of Feorlen against all odds. Now they are outcasts, alone on an impossible quest to unite the Elder Dragons. But they are children playing in a game of Dragon Lords. Trapped between the riders, servants of Sovereign, and the scourge, even their luck cannot last forever. Their only hope is to advance their bond by any means necessary. In Feorlen, Talia faces a world unaccepting of a rider queen. Her councilors will not heed her warnings of Sovereign. Foreign powers threaten war and bloodshed. Pleas sent to rider headquarters fall on deaf ears.

One of my new favorite dragon series

I couldn't stop reading. I would think about it even while working. I was hesitant to start the series because of the reviews I had read about it being young adult. This is mainly because it has foul language or vulgar scenes but this made it all the more surprising that I was so captivated. I experienced every emotion throughout this story.
4 months will be a long wait.
Peter Kenny did an unbelievable job with each character and I could tell them all apart by just his voice. Top notch performance!

Story
The Battle of North Fields is over - or so Aliza Bentaine, now a Daired, fervently wants to believe. But rumors are spreading of an unseen monster ravaging the isolated Castle Selwyn on the northern border of the kingdom. When she and Alastair are summoned from their honeymoon by the mysterious Lord Selwyn, they must travel with their dragon Akarra through the Tekari-infested Old Wilds of Arle to answer his call. And they are not alone on this treacherous journey. Shadowing the dragonriders is an ancient evil, a harbinger of a dark danger of which the Worm was only a foretaste.

LOVED this story

I finished each audiobook within 2 days and smiled, laughed and cried. Craziest part is I had read book one and two a few years ago but couldn't remember enough to feel comfortable listening to the third as an audiobook so here I am. An easy read compared to many fantasies but interesting enough to keep you going.
