Story
FBI Special Agent Grace Billingsley tracks serial killers, using her skills as a psychiatrist and behavioral analyst to get dangerous people off the street and safely behind bars. But prison psychiatrist Sam Monroe knows that just because a killer is incarcerated doesn't mean they're not a threat. His own father, Peter, is a serial killer-in prison but certainly not out of Sam's life, as much as he wishes he was.

Story
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.

If this book series is ever made into a movie, I’ll be first in line to see it. I hope Terri’s closing comments will be included. They are more applicable today than ever. If only she knew what was coming in 2020, I wonder what she would have written. The one thought that plays over and over in my mind, “Please! Come quickly Lord Jesus!”

Story
People unfamiliar with Scripture often assume that women play a small, secondary role in the Bible. But in fact, they were central figures in numerous Biblical tales. It was Queen Esther’s bravery at a vital point in history which saved her entire people. The Bible contains warriors like Jael, judges like Deborah, and prophets like Miriam. The first person to witness Jesus’ resurrection was Mary Magdalene, who promptly became the first Christian evangelist, eager to share the news which would change the world forever.

A great speculative read
Reviewed: 07-11-21
The thing I like best about this book is that it drives one to the Word. I appreciate when Shannon uses the term, “I think.” This let’s the readers know she is speculating and her synopsis isn’t necessarily fact. If this caveat
had been made in the introduction, along with a symbol in each area of the book where speculation was made but not indicated, this would prevent readers from mistaking speculation for fact. (Those who listen on audible will need to purchase the book in order to identify these areas.)
Otherwise, the book was thought provoking and gives glory to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I’ll use this book as a Biblical tool.

When truth doesn’t make sense, will lies prevail? Cathy Cramer is a former lawyer and investigative blogger who writes commentary on high-profile homicides. When she finds a threatening note warning her that she’s about to experience the same kind of judgment and speculation that she dishes out in her blog, Cathy writes it off as mischief...until her brother’s wife is murdered and all the “facts” point to him. The killer has staged the crime to make the truth too far-fetched to believe.

Over Dramatized

I guess I’m not one to whine. The narrator made many of the complaining portions as high-pitched whining, which was too dramatic...especially, Kathy’s. It didn’t fit. Otherwise, she did a good job.
The story was Terri’s usual “forward in your seat” suspenseful. Very good story.

A three-in-one bundle of suspense and excitement as missionary kid Kennedy Stern faces more danger, mystery, and controversy than this anxiety-prone college student knows how to handle. Confronted with questions of underage abortion, plagued by a stalker and paralyzing PTSD flashbacks, and eventually caught in the center of a police brutality scandal, Kennedy discovers that her first year at Harvard involves a lot more than passing a few lab classes and fulfilling her pre-med requirements.

Book one was good. I was looking forward to the next two, but sorely disappointed. The second book was all about Kennedy’s PTSD and self doubt. I sympathize with those who experience such, but this book put me to sleep. The last book was so full of PC that I couldn’t finish it. I finally skipped to last chapter. The narrator did a good job.
