Story
At odds with his family and on the run, Lord Cyril is taken prisoner and held in a gloomy mountain fortress—which he brightens up quite a bit, thank you. His captor wants him to be quiet and not cause any trouble, but who cares? Cyril may need the mysterious highwayman to quell his dawn magic and keep him sane, but he's overbearing, sardonic, and unpleasant. Mostly. Except when Cyril can't live without his touch, or his voice, or his rare smile.

This reviews for the first and the second book. I like the premise of the story quite a bit. Both of the main mages in the stories are petulant brats, but I still loved them. Give it a try, with something narrated by Kirt Graves you can't go wrong!

Story
Arthur Parnassus lives a good life built on the ashes of a bad one. He’s the headmaster of a strange orphanage on a distant and peculiar island, and he hopes to soon be the adoptive father to the six dangerous and magical children who live there. Arthur works hard and loves with his whole heart so none of the children ever feel the neglect and pain that he once felt as an orphan on that very same island so long ago. He is not alone: joining him is the love of his life, Linus Baker, a former caseworker in the Department in Charge of Magical Youth.

Adjust your coziness expectations. This is heavier than the first one.

This book continues for the first one left off. I don't want to say too much about it, but the story, the narration, everything about this book is top notch!

Story
When Caleb Chance walked out in Detroit five years ago, leaving his band, millions of his fans and his lover behind, Leo knew he could never forgive. Some things, no matter what the cause, are unforgivable. But Leo never expected Caleb to show up again, clean and sober and wanting to get their band, Star Shadow, back together. He definitely never expected to agree to Caleb's plan. He never expected to confront the love of his life again - or the disaster of his past, the hopelessness of his future, and every terrible thing he's been carrying inside him.

Story
In the epic conclusion to K.D. Edwards' first blockbuster trilogy in the Tarot Sequence series, audiences followed Rune on a race against time as an age-old threat rose to threaten the city of New Atlantis. Now, for the first time, The Eidolon tells what really happened to Max, Quinn, and Anna as prisoners in the Hourglass Throne's base of operation.

Narrator is top notch! The story is good, it basically retells the last book in the trilogy only from the point of view of the kids. Good to have if you've read the other three
