Story
Technologically enhanced superspy Peter Caswell has been dispatched on a top-secret assignment unlike any he's ever faced. A spaceship that vanished years ago has been found, along with the bodies of its murdered crew - save one. Peter's mission is to find the missing crew member, who fled through what appears to be a tear in the fabric of space. Beyond this mysterious doorway lies an even more confounding reality: a world that seems to be Earth's twin.

Gripping and Intense

I really enjoyed the pace of this book. It wasn't a fast paced nonstop action sort of book, but yet provided a fair balance of action and processing time. The story was great, and I found myself surprised over and over again. The story actually sounds like something somewhat plausible. The characters are interesting without being too complex, and they are cleverly written. The narrator did a wonderful job, and made the main character sound very attractive. I was very pleased with his job on the female voices. I would recommend this to anyone who loves sci-fi and action. Definitely worth the listen.

Story
It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her 17-year-old sister, Penryn, will do anything to get her back. Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel. Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl. Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival.
