Story
When Jamie Andrews moves in with a house full of firefighters, things start heating up fast. Battling the wilderness of rural Montana, these guys are always charging into danger—for a living, for duty, for the rush—and since Jamie is a psychiatric nurse, they fascinate her analytic mind. She can’t help but fixate on Calvin, a grumpy, enigmatic smoke jumper ten years her senior. She makes playfully tormenting him her pet project, trying to get him to open up. It turns out he gives as good as he gets.

I did not like Jaymes at first, she was very immature but I did end up falling in love with the story and the emotions it brought. Also a few laugh out louds came out of me at the witty banter from the characters.

Story
Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again. After 15 years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another. I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side. All I wanted was for him to come back to me. Then, Jackson Emery appeared. He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart. We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love.

Loved the story. I couldn’t stand Graces mother and I wish grace was harder on them when they disrespected her but the growth at the end between all characters really made the story so worth the read. It was an emotional but very good read.

I like my sex dirty. It takes a hell of a lot to tilt my moral compass, and I always follow when it's pointing at something I want. That goes double when it points straight at the one girl in all of Chicago who's not dying for a piece of me.

I grew up with the Buchanan twins. Wreaking havoc. Playing hockey. Causing chaos. Almost all of my memories involve Archer and Maverick. Then I started dating one of them. Archer Buchanan is perfect. He’s sweet. Attentive. Passionate. He’s everything a girl could ask for in a boyfriend. And I love him so much. The problem is…I love his twin brother even more.

Good spice, there’s a story there. But I couldn’t stand the FMC.

I’m rating this higher because I’m not gonna yuck someone’s yum.
Please note this is my personal opinion but I just could not stand the main female character, her immaturity is age appropriate I guess but I couldn’t stand her carelessness and lack of self awareness.
The steam was there, I appreciate some good spice scenes there aren’t a ton which I personally appreciate. And the book does have story which I also appreciate. But I could not get away from my ick from the main female character.

Story
They say that all men are created equal. Well, that’s a blatant lie! I know, because I met God's gift to women in Vegas; I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man. He took our fake marriage seriously, and it became his personal goal to consummate. He spoke to me in French, and I lied to him in German. His laughter was addictive. But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas. Until it didn't.

I didn’t hate the story but some things really upset me.
Possible spoilers so if you don’t want more detail don’t read on.
I hated how she never said anything about having HIS kid. It didn’t feel justified at all and was extremely careless and immature.
She also had no problem being selfish and meeting the family still holding such a big secret.
Also the immaturity with how she acted at the club and drinking on the job just frustrated me.

Loved the narrator, did a wonderful job.
I couldn’t stand the main character, I felt she was very weak and let some things slide with Carson. Not trying to spoil the story but the things he said she basically just forgot about and the way she reacted seemed so immature. I know she’s young so I tried to understand that but I frustrated me.

This was a wonderful palette cleanser for a clean romance story.
The narration was good but the voice didn’t match the female character age wise, it didn’t ruin the book though which matters most.
Overall a good story.

It’s been three years. It’s time to let go of the past. When a man covered in tattoos walks into the bar where I work, with a guitar case slung over his back and a determined swagger, I think I’m finally ready to move on...until I see his guitar. I’d recognize it anywhere. It was the last gift Nate ever received from his father.

The narration gets a 5 stars from me. I love their voices and they do an amazing job!
For the story, I just didn’t love it. I couldn’t stand Nate he seemed so very selfish and immature. Amelia was better but the lack of communication between the two was so frustrating. I know it’s part of the story so I can’t be too mad but I feel like it was a lot to me. Still a cute story but 3/5 for me.
