He’s a librarian when the town’s budget can afford him, a good friend, kind neighbor, and also, a witch. And while that’s of no concern to anyone around him, there are others, non-humans, who have a vested interest in Xander’s family land. Xander knows something dark and dangerous is brewing. luckily I got this book on a daily deal for a $1,99. I may be old because I did not see anything in the summary that would have let me know that the main character is a guy who likes guys and goes into detail on liking another guy character.
the writing seemed kinda good but I could only make about a couple chapters in until the sexual description got to much.
no offense to anyone but I am not wired that way and don't want to listen to it!
This is the the 2nd time I got a book on a special to find it had explicit sex in it. I do think Audiible should identify this much better.

Building a new nation is not a simple task, and it's made even harder with every nation on the planet wanting the Solarian Union's advanced technology, no matter the cost. But when terrorists unleash a devastating, genetically engineered plague into the world, that advanced technology is the only thing standing between humanity and the annihilation of our species. Michael and those following him have done what they set out to do—they have colonized space. But they cannot cut all the ties to their ancestral home, and the sufferings of its peoples.
