Story
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

inconsistent performance
Reviewed: 04-30-23
The delivery of the dialogue is inconsistent. sometimes there are voice actors and sometimes it's the narrator. it's well read but they exclude the appendices which is as interesting as the actual story and reveals a lot of back story that is informative and entertaining.

Story
This volume presents the complete The Book of Giants, placed back into its original context within The First Book of Enoch, along with notes and commentary. The volume also contains the complete books of Second and Third Enoch with commentary. Together, these four books of Giants, First Enoch, Second Enoch, and Third Enoch, make up the majority of the Enochian library.

The material might be great, but the whisper delivery of the narrator does not engage me as a listener. Would not recommend on that basis. Having said that, the material seems to be ok.

Story
Are demons real? Are they red creatures with goatees holding pitchforks and sitting on people's shoulders while whispering bad things? Did a third of the angels really rebel with Satan? Are demons and "principalities and powers" just terms for the same entities, or are they different members of the kingdom of darkness? Is the world a chaotic mess because of what happened in Eden, or is there more to the story of evil? In Demons, Michael Heiser debunks popular presuppositions about the very real powers of darkness.

Interesting dive into the opposing camp

I started this because I was exploring the idea of the divine council. He discusses the Divine Counsil early in the book as a refresher from a prior work of his. I was particularly intrigued by his arguments against Gap theory as well as his discussion about SLSW.
Well worth listening to.
