If you can overlook Rain's redundancy you'll enjoy this series
Reviewed: 02-13-18
This series by Rain truly is very good. And at the end of my review I point out some of the things that stopped me from giving 5 stars. The narrator is exceptional and has a natural dry wit that I love. Her timing is perfect. And the series is absolutely full of suspense, humor and romance. I really enjoy the fact that the characters have real flaws like all of us. The things I had issues with are that Rain can be extremely redundant. It becomes EXHAUSTING!! He constantly repeats himself and uses the word 'anyway' in an effort to move from one thought to the next. It's just too much! It really starting getting on my last nerve. The editor should have corrected this in the first draft. Rain should have corrected this himself or gone back to middle school for an updated English class.

The Bodine ranch and resort in western Montana is a family business, an idyllic spot for vacationers. A little over thirty thousand acres and home to four generations, it’s kept running by Bodine Longbow with the help of a large staff, including new hire Callen Skinner. There was another member of the family once: Bodine’s aunt, Alice, who ran off before Bodine was born.

I never EVER thought I would say this about a book by Nora, but it just wasn't very good. In fact, I didn't even finish it. I realize that it's more along the lines of one written as J.D., but I just thought it was...well boring. I hate to say that about anything Nora's written. But the whole story just fell flat to me.

Cassandra is the perfect narrator for this one! Her ability to do a convincing 'Southern' accent has to be homegrown! It's dead on perfect! I think Jana is hilarious and weaves an amazing story every time. Probably didn't enjoy this one as much as 'Louisiana Longshot' but was still extremely well done.

I LOVE Bruin!!! I have adored him since he first popped up in the first book. It was wonderful to see his bad-ass side! And who knew he could be so sexy!!! His story is so sweet and sad. And his mate could only be just as sweet! I could not possibly pick a favorite out of this series, because they are all just that good!!!

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator is amazing! She did great with the accents and had really good timing. She is my favorite female narrator.
The pro's and con's in this book.
Pro: The author LOVES details.
Con: The author loves details. A bit exhausting at times.
Pro: The story was so far out of left field, but the author keeps you on the edge of your seat through most of it.
Con: There was a LOT of repetitive dialog. To the point of being redundant. It came off a bit OCD.
Pro: The story was really funny. The characters, especially the mother-in-law and her various outfits!!!

Not one of Christine Feehan's best by any stretch but was worth the read because it was different. She repeated herself a lot and it felt like there was a lot of filler just to bulk up the book. But it was worth the read. Narrator did a good job with the characters.

WORST BOOK I'VE EVER READ! BEYOND PORNOGRAPHIC!
Reviewed: 10-14-17
If I could give this book a minus star I would! It was beyond pornographic! Violent sex, rape, anal sex, sex with animals, bondage, oh and adult men strutting around nude in front of young girls. Along with animals 'mounting' each other for sex like it was the biggest turn on ever.
I felt like my brain needed to be bleached after reading even part of this book. There was no real story line because the author couldn't fit in a story inbetween the sex scenes. At least 2-3 per chapter. And the chapters were short!
I am not a prude. I love good romance novels but this was disgusting!! AND neither Amazon or Audible put any kind of warning about this kind of content. I called Audible honestly and thoroughly furious that this kind of pornography could have been purchased by a child. This is my opinion, but this so called author is sick!!
