I was led by Holy Spirit to listen to this book and oh it was such an engaging and practical take on living a Christian life…addressing strengthening your grip on priorities, involvement, encouragement, purity, money, integrity, discipleship, aging, prayer, leisure, missions, godliness, attitudes, evangelism, authority and family. This book is very relevant to today’s world and practical. I appreciated thoughtful practice/reflection questions at the end of each chapter. I highly recommend this book! I couldn’t stop listening and am planning on getting a hard copy.

This book was recommended to me by a biblical counselor/therapist attending my church with whom I spoke about how I felt still so negatively affected by the past trauma/PTSD. I didn’t read this book until my church invited Dr. Mike Hutchings to offer his healing from trauma/PTSD workshop. In preparation for attending the workshop I listened to this audiobook and oh my! I already have experienced breakthrough and some level of freedom just by passively listening. I’m planning to read the physical copy now and really put my heart into these prayers to experience full freedom from trauma/PTSD bondage. I’m so grateful for Dr. Hutchings’s ministry as if I finally get free and start living a life free from being bound and crippled by trauma/PTSD and spirits associated with it…it’ll be such a blessing and a miracle worth waiting for 47 years. God is good! And I encourage you to listen to this transformational audiobook and take your time to speak those prayers over yourself (easier to do with a physical book in hand). Thank you so much for writing this book and I’m looking forward to attending Dr. Hutchings workshop.

Wow! What an incredible anointed book! This book teaches you how to have a true, deep, transformative healing of your heart by going to the Wonderful Counselor/the Comforter. I’ve had the privilege of attending Jo’s live event and now I’m taking one of her online classes. I didn’t know I needed emotional healing and didn’t know why I was still stuck emotionally and spiritually…the issue was I had unhealed trauma that no therapy/counseling and no deliverance would help with. This book is a must in the arsenal of every Christian. I highly recommend reading this book if you want lasting transformation and healing so that you can fully live in God’s promises and have the best relationship with God (and other people) that you’ve ever had.

Freeing and empowering revelation to break familiar spirits demonic oppression

This book is excellent and thoroughly researched…filled with revelation and wisdom that might be shocking to some but it brings freedom from demonic oppression. Knowing how familiar spirits operate in our lives and in our society helps the reader to make the choice and close those doors and kick out those spirits once and for all. This book contains knowledge that can bring freedom and empowerment to no longer feel defeated but equipped to close the doors to familiar spirits. Listen to this book with curiosity as some parts might feel shocking or controversial but it’s information that I already heard from other reliable resources so it’s just a confirmation what I already knew. I appreciate the authors passion for bringing truth to God’s people in a bold way. Overall this book would be 5 stars if not the reading. The book is not read by the author and I agree with some other reviewers that narration was disappointing (monotonous without pausing in the right places and the pronunciation was also somewhat atypical) but I got used to it and while it was making it hard to listen tot he book at first, I got used to it after the first two chapters. Overall I highly recommend listening to this book while giving some grace to the narrator. You’ll definitely benefit from hearing this book.

Wow! This is such a beautiful, powerful, compassionate, touching and practical book. Since I gave my life to Jesus several years ago I wasn’t able to maintain a regular practice of prayer. It felt reserved for when I’m praying in person with other or for others. I didn’t know what prayer should or could look like when I’m at home talking to the Lord. Sheila’s book brought so much comfort, validation and clarity. Stories she shared touched my heart…I cried, I laughed and most of all something got unlocked. I started talking to the Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I’m looking forward to returning to this audiobook again soon and taking notes. I also look forward to listening to other Sheila Walsh’s audiobooks. Thank you so much for amazing book and what a joy to hear Sheila Walsh read her own book!!

I couldn’t stop listening to this audiobook. The author’s authentic way of sharing stories while practically guiding readers into shedding old, limiting and for many crippling identities and stepping into our true identity in Christ. It’s an audiobook not just filled with concepts for your mind but it guides you through interactive thought provoking journaling prompts as well as brainstorming session for you to walk away with a practical, simple and doable plan that’s unique for you. You won’t just get filled up with ideas but if you choose to you’ll be invited to create a plan to build new habits and a lifestyle of living in your God given identity through a lifestyle of intimate relationship with Jesus. This book is well fitting for anyone at any stage of being a Christian or even being remotely curious about developing an intimate relationship with Jesus and seeing how it affects their entire life. I cried through many parts of this book as it deeply resonated with my personal experiences but let me tell you, it’s not a sad story (as the author says) it’s a book that will help you break out of the bondage to all the limiting, hurtful beliefs about yourself that you’ve been carrying around for too long (such as “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not deserving of love”, “I need to perform/produce to proof my worth/value” etc. I’m planning on printing out the accompanying. PDF guide and re-listening to this audiobook while implementing all the action steps and transformative journaling and plan setting. This is not just another “self-help” book. This is a highly anointed transformative guide to create a lasting growth and change for better that’s based on God’s truth and deep intimacy with Him. And Hosanna’s spoken poetry pieces are such a treat! that touches at the heart and spirit level. I also loved that it was read by the author herself. I highly recommend this book!

It’s a must read for every Christian and non-Christian! Listen to Armed & Dangerous and learn how to stop being a punching bag for the devil & stop being a lukewarm, impotent Christian. I’ve been unconsciously serving the enemy most of my life. I gave my life to Jesus about 7 years ago (in my 40’s) and while God miraculously pulled me out of that other lifestyle…being Christian hasn’t been easy. The enemy has been pounding on me, upset that I changed the camp. Through support from my Christian mentor and learning that the life-long crippling depression and suicidal thoughts were caused by unclean spirits…God helped me to self-deliver from both of those. Praise the Lord! The battle did not end there. The enemy moved the attack to my other health areas and career. I’ve read every possible deliverance book, have done numerous self-deliverances, attended official deliverance session and numerous inner healing sessions and things haven’t been improving much. This audiobook (I’ll buy the printed copy) has brought SO much insight and relief. I finally feel like I have understanding what the enemy’s camp is doing and have access to clear strategies of not only defending myself (and my loved ones) but also step by step learning how to become Armed and Dangerous and move onto offense when it comes to spiritual warfare. I’m deeply touched, inspired (God can really turn around whatever deepest darkness and brokenness the enemy pulled us in). This audiobook doesn’t offer a quick fix, it offers a strategy that I’m putting into practice and I’ll keep repeating regularly until it becomes my second nature & part of my skill set. If you’re hurting, feeling exhausted from the constant, never ending battle with the enemy, listen to Armed and Dangerous to get equipped and become victorious as a soldier in God’s army.

One of the most powerful books on deliverance & gaining freedom from the demonic oppression

I have read, listened to and participated in many (if not most) of the available deliverance & freedom from demonic oppression/attack books/trainings/deliverance and inner healing sessions. This is one of the top three anointed and most powerful and effective tools of deliverance/self-deliverance available on the market. Not only it’s evident that the decrees/declarations are anointed but also the introductions before the decrees are very insightful and revelatory even for a person who thought knew a lot on the topic. I highly recommend not only let “Prayers That Rout Demons” to play in the background (day and night) but even more so I recommend to play it at slower speed (for me .85) or pause after each declaration and repeat it out loud. It won’t only shift atmosphere in your surroundings but it will bring a breakthrough if you or a loved one is demonized (under influence of unclean spirits) or if you’re being tormented in any way. Even though I went through a deliverance session, SOZO sessions (inner healing), did several self-deliverance sessions and read most of the available materials/books and did a couple of trainings still I was tormented (sigh!). Please know there’s no shame in it, if you’re going through it too. I was going through an experience that felt in a way hell-like and I started listening and repeating out loud each decree in this audiobook and things have calmed down within a couple of hours. I’m going to continue until I finish the entire audiobook and then I’m planning on buying the physical book to read along while listening to this audiobook all over again. I have hope! This is effective way of getting free and positioning yourself victoriously in the daily warfare with the enemy. I’m very grateful that I came across Prayers That Rout Demons audiobook! I highly recommend it to you! Well invested money in purchasing this “spiritual warfare manual”!!!

Cannot find specific books/chapters

That is such a huge oversight. As other reviewers state Audible treats it as one big chapter split into 3-4 minute sections. You wanna listen to a specific chapter in the Passion Translation of the Bible e.g. Psalm 91? Forget it!!! Try to find it in over 390 tiny sections that aren’t titled but simply numbered. Because of this I would not recommend purchasing this Audiobook. In addition, As much as I love and admire Brian Simmon’s translating work (10 stars out of five), I don’t find his voice that well suited for the Bible reading. I’d prefer if someone else would read it.
