I didn't want this woman to be my nanny. She had no experience and a failed art career. What did she know about rearing children? She was my late wife's choice, and I didn't too much care for the woman, and she didn't care for me, either. Until all hell broke loose and the nanny was the only one my son could turn to. The only one we could rely on. She kept us going, and then she wanted to leave, too. Not a damn chance.

The narrators brought the story to life. One of my favorite audiobooks to listen to repeatedly. Also listen to Mr. West, absolutely fantastic! I would love to hear Kano's story with the same narrators. Xyla Turner is a very talented writer.

She's sore because she thought she could embarrass me in public without being punished. She's well-used because after I spanked her I wanted more, and I take what I want. She's waiting for me in my bed because she's my bride, and tonight is our wedding night.

One of my favorites!

Locklear, is truly a talented narrator who very versatile! I find myself listening to this book on repeat. Interesting character development, no references to Christ in a disrespectful manner which allowed me to focus on the plot more. I understand that there's the idea that if one is the head of the mafia oftentimes means that one has "sold their soul", but there are other ways to relay that notion and Stone has done a fine job doing just that without being sacrilegious. Loved the chemistry between the 2 main characters.

Too much cursing referring to Christ, for me it takes away from the story. I have been finding that more and more in her books whereas before, in some of her other books, it wasn't present. I honestly do like Stone's storylines, but I find that type of language distracting. I get her books comes with a disclaimer of "offensive language", but I would like for Audibles to create a way to distinguish between books that has THAT type of offensive language and the ones that do not. Would have saved so much money and credits. Exceptional narrator, as always.
