Story
Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, is hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the successful editor of Runway magazine. Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn. As things escalate from the merely unacceptable to the downright outrageous, Andrea begins to realize that the job a million girls would die for may just kill her. And even if she survives, she has to decide whether the job is worth the price of her soul.

Entertaining

If you are looking for a book to entertain you this will meet your expectations. Its an easy read and its a fun girlie book.
The reader did a good job at narrating but some of the character voices sounded very stupid. At one point I was wondering if the protagonist was talking to her father or boyfriend; it was very confusing. Other wise I still give it a 4 because I liked it.

Story
Lyra is rushing to the cold, far North, where witch clans and armored bears rule. North, where the Gobblers take the children they steal—including her friend Roger. North, where her fearsome uncle Asriel is trying to build a bridge to a parallel world. Can one small girl make a difference in such great and terrible endeavors? This is Lyra: a savage, a schemer, a liar, and as fierce and true a champion as Roger or Asriel could want. But what Lyra doesn't know is that to help one of them will be to betray the other.

I've read the trilogy before, but after reading up on the background I wanted to read it again, but since I love audibooks I decided to listen to it instead. It is a very good performance and if you buy this one you have to be ready to buy the other two!
