Get rid of the male narrators

Loved the first book, tolerated the second book, and flat out could not stand to even finish the third book. The female narrator was great, I enjoyed her performance. Neither male was all that great, but one of them was so cringeworthy I could not stand to listen to his performance. This is not a preferance thing either, this was that he physically made me uncomfortable any time he spoke a dialog. Absolutely ruined a good book. I have listened to other books by Eva Chase that were fantastic. This review is solely about the male narrators.

The story was fantastic, but every character sounded the same. Male or female, same voice.

Sam is a terrible human being and a hypocrite

Overall
2 out of 5 stars

Sam is a terrible human being and a hypocrite. She let's the guys do terrible things to her "friends" and then feels hurt and betrayed when they dont like the guys and stand by her. Been listening because the story isn't too bad and it does make you want to see what's next, but each book is harder to listen to. Sam is definitely not someone to cheer for.

the story was good, but the narrator ruined it entirely. character is from New Zealand but she doesn't even attempt the accent. she does for bit character, but doesn't bother for the lead. it's even noted in the story. random inflections and varying sentence speeds alter what is being said. worth a listen, but not on my list of rehears.

Decent story, disappointed in narrator

story takes place in Australia, the reader should be able to do an Australian accent and actually use it for the reading. Decent story line, could have been better if she made it longer and added more details. It felt pretty rushed.
