I listened to this on Audible. I listened to the trilogy together. It was a slow burn to anything really good between the books. By the time we got to the second book, things really started to happen. The story was ok. Definitely for teenagers. Decent character building. Not too many characters that you couldn't keep up. Story was good, the concept was better I think than the actual story. I had issues with some of the fantasy part of it, in particular the use of foul language. I'm a fan of some foul words, so that's not the issue, the issue for me is that these people from a different world know American slang words? That was one of my biggest issues throughout. I did like that we had a slow burn for the relationship brewing between Tyler and Koto(sp). It was nice to not have a book just have characters jumping at each other immediately. Overall I'm not disappointed.

I want to give Michael Lesley a thousand stars for bringing Nick, Seth, Gibby, Jazz, THE DAD SQUAD, Burrito Jerry, and everyone else to life from the AMAZING story telling from T.J. Klune. I've written a review for every single book of his I've read. Only ever writing reviews for Christopher Rice, Anne Rice, and Stephen King prior. Klune is now an author I share with anyone that will listen.

The Extraordinaries is a great series, whether you like comic books, or super heroes, or not, I think you'll still love this series. A story of love really. Love of family, love of friends, building of friendships, love of boys, love of girls, and the love of burritos.

I only ever have ONE complaint for every single book series of his I've "read" (I use Audible), and that's ... ... ... WHY DO YOU STOP WRITING THEM? I get it though, the characters have to bow out at the right time, the story arc finds its end.

Klune is so descriptive with his words and phrasing, and Lesley speaks those words and phrases so well, it's truly a remarkable, or dare I say, Extraordinary thing. This series has love, heartache, families togetherness, families anger, love, and more love, curly hair, a few lighting bolts, some flying cars, people thrown, or falling, also a father son duo that will melt your heart, and a father son duo that will break it, then there's more love.

AND LISTEN, Nick and Dad Bell, the condom and the banana, the ziplock bags that are cut into squares, this will send you over the edge.

I'm always excited to read (using Audible) a T.J. Klune book. Michael Lesley brings these books to life with his narration. Klune sounds an extraordinary tale and Lesley just makes it that much better. When he says "Nicky" I laugh, it's just hilarious how it sounds. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, I felt like I knew these characters, as I often do with Klune's books. Can't wait to get started on the next one.

I'm gonna find TJ Klune and punch him square in the face for the last line in this book. The entire book. Then.
Once I punch him, and as they're dragging me away, I'll tell him how amazing a writer he is. Just amazing!

This book was just as good as all the others. I was worried at first but it's for sure worthy of a listen (or read) dude.

Alice Winters can weave a tale

Few writers I'll write reviews about and I need to go back and write one for the other books I've listened to on Audible from Alice Winters. Greg Boudreax really brought the characters to life. As he has for the others I've listened to. Alice's stories have depth and great character development. The love that Booker showed to Hiro, along with the determination and sternness with others, was just so well thought out. Natalie and Reggie were true winners in this series. I need a movie or TV series immediately. Greg truly gave these characters life. Good Stuff. Give this series and ALL of her other books a read or listen.

This was an uplifting and moving story. Listening to the Audible version made me feel like she was right in the car, that's where I listen to most books, with me. It was an engaging and thought prokoking story with a small glimpse into her life. Wonderful.

I'm sorry but I just didn't get it. Read it for a book club and several of us had to muscle through. Author was all over the place. Felt like I needed flow charts and graphs. The ending, let's just not talk about it.
