Empowered Children will Change the World
Reviewed: 06-07-23
This book is one that I recommend that any family with children in school should read and think about the concepts presented here. Laura and her husband started a school from the ground up brought about by asking themselves what is the best learning environment for my child and how can I create it. They have created a system where kids learn how to learn, learn how to do, learn how to be, not just memorize and regurgitate information that they will soon forget. This books walks us through the process of them asking the questions and creating a solution that is based on the kids of today and how they can thrive in the real world. The “quests” explained in this book done at Acton show that they give our kids credit for being more accountable and engaged in their owns life’s then our current public education system does. After reading this book i knew that I needed to find a Acton school near me. I wanted my kids to benefit from this learning environment no matter how hard it would be. I knew that this was going to be the best way, along with being actively engaged as a parent, for my child to be successful in life and feel empowered. I recommend that everyone should read this book and consider our children in this time and how empowered children can and will change the world!

Story
Our unconscious thought patterns determine our relationships, our spiritual life, and our connection to God to a much greater extent than we know. That’s an alarming thought, because the subconscious mind is a mysterious realm that is really difficult to access and influence...right? No. It’s really not! And it’s the most urgent and impactful thing we can do. This book will show you how.

Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.
