Story
Our sexuality is an integral part of who we are, yet our understanding of sex has been warped by everything from age-old taboos and religious dogma to a popular culture that views sexuality as transactional. With Sex, Health, and Consciousness, Liz Goldwyn, founder of the thriving online platform and podcast The Sex Ed, has created an inclusive, holistic, and much-needed guide to sexual well-being—and the pleasure that’s possible when we embrace our sexuality as a natural part of a healthy human experience.

This book is beautiful. Liz comes with an open mind and nonjudgmental spirit. Her voice is calm and cool. She covers so much and I hope to use what I’ve learned to navigate and heal my own sexuality and to teach my children about sex when the time comes.

Confused and disoriented, Georgina Ferrars awakens in a small room in Tregannon House, a private asylum in a remote corner of England. She has no memory of the past few weeks. The doctor Maynard Straker tells her that she admitted herself under the name Lucy Ashton the day before and then suffered a seizure. This author depicts women poorly

In this tale women are either deceitful and evil or weak and naive. Other than those shortcomings story is so so.

Story
We live in a world obsessed with drinking. We drink at baby showers and work events, brunch and book club, graduations and funerals. Yet no one ever questions alcohol’s ubiquity—in fact, the only thing ever questioned is why someone doesn’t drink. It is a qualifier for belonging and if you don’t imbibe, you are considered an anomaly. As a society, we are obsessed with health and wellness, yet we uphold alcohol as some kind of magic elixir, though it is anything but.
