Pretty darn good murder mystery

I really enjoyed the story. The ending was a little disappointing for me but I think that was more because I was left wanting more. Would not have minded this turning into multiple books. While I found some of it predictable, I chalk that up to devouring way too many mysteries in a variety of mediums rather than the author's writing. Speaking of which, I did find enjoyable. I think I would have preferred to read this story instead of listening to it only for the fact that time and narrators switch around and sometimes I'd forget where I was if I didn't end on a chapter.
Overall a great story.

Perfect follow up!

Sam's story was a perfect second story. We meet Sam and Maddie in the first book in the Billionaire series and that's one of the things I love about J.S. Scott's books- the characters that will "star" in the next book are previewed in the previous book and makes you want to continue. In this one, Sam and Maddie have a history and they are brought together again later in life, rekindling their romance. Not that it is that easy at first. It never is.
