This was a fun book. In many was it had all the elements of Jaws - Big mean fish, scientist, cop. A few other things but I won't be a spoiler. Either way, I couldn't turn the book off

The only thing good about this book was the narrator. I wish I could return it but I bought it as a 2 for 1

I just about returned this book within the first 15 minutes because it seemed like it was just a little too simple minded for me. BUT... I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did. There is something about Molly/ I can't quite pinpoint .She is naive and innocent beyond words. It does make her enduring. I suggest you give this book a listen it's fun/

I made it through book 1 and 2 and had to force myself to finish book 2. My biggest complaint was the narrator. i can't really explain what it was about her narration. C;lipped snd sort of sing song-ish.

Let me say this first. I have really enjoyed the series up until now, There was no plot and I feel like the Author was filling space to make up 37 hours of stories that didn't fit together. Maybe they are meant to all fall into place by the next book but then again it might be another 30 something hours of rambling. By the time I got to Chapter 22 about Toren, I figured I wasn't missing anything and I skipped ahead to the last couple of chapters to see if this story somehow brought all of the characters in the story together for some grand finale, but no. The story just ended. Very disappointing.

A little too heavy handed in Christianity

This was a good story about a couple who lost their way in their marriage and the soul searching they individually went through to find what was missing. I can handle a little bit of bible thumping but towards the end it got to be way too much I almost fast forwarded the story to the last two chapters to find out how it ended but I stuck it through. If there wasn't so much Jesus this and Jesus that, I would have given it an overall 4 star story. I'm sure the whole Christianity slant is heart warming to many but for me it was overkill.

I found myself transplanted to Hawaii sitting on top of a ridge looking down into the valleys and into the deep blue Pacific. I felt the powers of the ancient ones dancing and drumming around me. Yes, the pace of narration was slow but so is the life of many of the Hawaiians I've met. As far as the characters - they were real to me and portrayed a family I could believe existed.
