Awesome as always!

I loved the story line, a budding romance between to strangers whom have grown into a trusting friendship. The hunt for the watchmaker takes on a thrilling journey through the world of magical maps. The characters are refreshing and had an element of intrigue of how all them will work together to heal their friend. A classic retro story of time where a woman must be a lady and a man a gentleman. Loved it!

Their secrets would be buried, bound in blood. Years later a headmistress is found brutally strangled, the first in a spate of gruesome murders that shock the Black Country.

I started this book, today and could not stop listening! This book is separated between different centuries and that flowed smoothly. I never got lost or confused. I grew up in the North, partially and have visited Salem, Massachusetts a few times. I appreciate that the author added a realistic view into our witch burnings of our past. How our pasts literally flow, and can determine our future.
An intriguing story of sisterhood, love, strength and of course magic! A cozy, interesting story. Thanks!

Now we have young a herbalist with a gift, who is misunderstood by certain people after a death. They make her life unbearable, and she has to run. Riveting Story
Reviewed: 02-02-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this book to vampire lovers and non-vampire lovers, alike. The story is one that all can relate too. The characters are believable, and you are drawn to both of the main characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sabina and Remy are both my favorites. Sabina is a young woman with the world awaiting her. Unfortunately her parents have already locked apart of her life for her in advance. Sabina struggles with this, and that is very understandable. Remy is the sexy, smart, vampire that unfortunately has closed his heart due to a hurt past. His master has sealed the deal for him as well, with Sabina. When they finally meet, it's hard to turn away from this hateful dance. Sabina wants love, passion, and to see the world, not to be betrothed to anyone. Remy is resistant and a purposeful irritant in her life, because it's fun. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is a page turner.
Have you listened to any of Joel Froomkin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is a my first experience with Froomkin; moreover I will be a fan from this book forward.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Oh yes, when they finally take down their walls and confess their feelings for one another. Sabina becomes so vulnerable, and I could completely feel what the author described.
Any additional comments?
The books are a bargain for such a lovely love story between vampire and human. I am off to book two.

I loved this book as well the first. This book is not about ghosts and the supernatural alone. This book is about family, sisters who share a unique gift. They are helping people from the poor to the richest societies. A forbidden love as emerged between the medium and a ghost. A must read that will change how we view the supernatural; moreover love.
