Story
America is unique. No other nation in the world has experienced the widespread levels of stability, individual prosperity, and personal freedoms that have defined this nation. What made us different from other nations? Was it the people, the principles, or the blessing of God? It was all three, and they caused America to become the most exceptional nation in the history of the world.

Story
For 300 years, The Pilgrim's Progress has remained perhaps the best-loved and most read of devotional fictions. In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

A book worthy of the time it takes to listen. The performance of the narrator is good also.

Story
When our founding fathers secured the Constitutional “right of the people to keep and bear arms”, they also added the admonition that this right shall not be infringed. It is the only time this phrase appears in the Bill of Rights. So why aren’t more people listening? History has proven that guns are essential to self-defense and liberty - but tragedy is a powerful force and has led many to believe that guns are the enemy, that the Second Amendment is outdated, and that more restrictions or outright bans on firearms will somehow solve everything. They are wrong.

Good book about guns, violence and tyranny
Reviewed: 11-02-15
This book take many of the gun control "statements/arguments" and examines them for truth. It also looks at the "culture of violence" and gives many studies that show people's belief/psychology and actions have effects on violent episodes, like school killings. Only negative is it gets a bit stats heavy in a few places but it is necessary to discuss this topic properly.

Story
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

Please read and wonder
Reviewed: 09-23-15
The performance of this classic was quite gripping. The story was very insightful (especially for its time). This story does what scifi does best. Ask the quest "what if" and in this case pulls from available data on the evils of socialistic/communistic to warn of the "mischiefs of governments " that Thomas Jefferson warned about. So read and wonder.
