My emotions were all over the place. I really liked the part Simon realized he put the church before his family and the children finally speaking up and letting him know how he feels.

Story
The Bible tells a story. The events of the Bible are exciting and awe inspiring, but often the story can get lost among the laws, genealogies, and poetry. Here, Dr. William Marty retells the entire story of the Bible in one accessible, chronological account. All the stories you remember, and many of those you don't, are part of one grand narrative. It's the must-listen story of God's pursuit of you - one you'll want to hear again and again.

The Bible as a novel

This read like a novel or story. I was able to follow and really understand the main characters of the bible. I can now explain the Bible better to my teenage daughter.

Story
Two years ago, to everyone's surprise, Dillon Whitfield Black, the secret son of Reverend Curtis Black, boldly moved back home, married a woman named Raven, decided he was going to become a minister, and then founded a church right in the center of his living room. Today he's pastor of a 1,000-plus-member congregation, and new members are joining weekly. Sadly, behind closed doors Dillon is far from being a saint. He has become more like the man his father was 30 years ago - consumed with money, power, and lots of women.

Good but predictable

I liked it but it was predictable. I think I'm over The Curtis Black series.
