Story
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Great everything
Reviewed: 01-02-25
The story, narrators, character development, etc are great and I see myself listening to this more than once. Spicy and heartfelt, great action and dialogue; one of the best books Ive listened to this year.

Story
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Story
Norma Anders has always prided herself on her intelligence and determination. She climbed out of poverty and put herself through school and is now a chief financial advisor at Pierce Industries. She's certainly a woman who won't be topped. Not in business anyway. But she's pretty sure she'd like to be topped in the bedroom. Unfortunately most men see independence and ambition in a woman and they run. Even her dominant boss, Hudson Pierce, has turned down her advances.

So good, too short

This is a great short story. Good character development but at a fast pace. I would read again.

Story
Byron Crowne is a charming liar and a gorgeous monster. I detest him. I can't resist him. He’s awakened desires I didn’t know I had. When he touches me, I need to fight him...and I need him to win. Our one night stand bruises my skin and leaves dents in the walls, but the sheets aren't the only thing we shred that night. And suddenly, the stakes are higher than ever.

This is missing the full character development that some of her previous books have. The narrators were good but the story felt abbreviated.

Story
There were rules in the cash-for-beauty game. The money held the power. The beauty followed the rules and jumped through the hoops. The bride. I knew what everyone would think if they knew the truth about my marriage. They'd be shocked and appalled. And rightly so. I was a young, modern, independent woman, and I'd done the unthinkable. I'd sold my virginity to a spoiled rich boy. To a stranger who didn’t love me. And yes, I'd done it all for money.
