Story
Name's Kane, Kate Kane. I'm a paranormal private investigator, which is like a normal private investigator except - and stop me if you're having trouble following this - more paranormal. This business comes with a few basic rules: don't start drinking before noon, don't get your partner killed, don't sleep with the woman who killed him. Last year I broke all of them.

More Ghostbusters Action Novel than Paranormal PI
Reviewed: 07-01-21
I enjoyed it but not what I wanted when I bought it. I was hoping for a detective story and got something closer to a string of fights loosely connected by a case.
Very funny cast of character, but despite long histories written into the book it seems no one knows what others can do. The mystery is impossible to guess at as a reader until one character tells you who it is.
The most trusting PI and the most truthful suspects who spend more time thinking everybody else is lying than doing any lying.
Narration is great, the writings funny, if at times more comedic than anything else.

More Nightvale Wierdness Less Nightvale Confusion

The Welcome to Nightvale book is only a departure from the podcast in the sense that tells a strange story rather than presenting strange setting.
