Interesting, but clearly designed for video: ch2 has detailed discussion of radar weather tracking imagery.

Narrator blurred thoughts and dialog

Zanzarella didn't distinguish thoughts from dialog. I wanted a print edition to catch the nuances

Kyon Ensin finally has what he's always wanted: possession of Kricket Hollowell, the priestess who foresees the future. Together, their combined power will be unrivaled. Kricket, however, doesn't crave the crown of Ethar - she has an unbreakable desire to live life on her own terms, a life that she desperately wants to share with her love, Trey Allairis.

This ending really calls for a sequel.

What did you like best about Darken the Stars? What did you like least?
I really enjoyed the story, seeing more of Ethar, and Kricket's strength and snark through the challenging situations.
The ending is a huge problem, though; it's a very unsatisfying ending since this is the last book in the series. It is so inconclusive. It's like there should be another hundred pages or so in the story (or a book 4....). I think if I ever re-read the series, I would just stick to the first book; the end of the first book is a good stopping point.
