Story
While Peyton and Marco continue to struggle with their work/life balance, crime doesn’t take a break. As a homicide detective, Peyton dreaded each call, because it meant that someone had lost his or her life, but moving to Hate Crimes has shown her the darkness in humanity isn’t confined to murder. Lifting the veil on the underbelly of the City has forced Peyton to acknowledge innocent victims can be targeted through no fault of their own. However, when a cross is burned in the yard of a civil rights activist, Peyton and her squad are on the case.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and enjoyed it very much. The second book in the series is here and it is just as good as the first one. Peyton’s first case in the Hate Crimes division was a success, but time is dragging on and still, no second case. Finally, a tip on the hot line gives the team a case. Marco has a double homicide to solve and no clear motive for it. There’s some twist and turns, but as always great writing and narrating will keep you listening to find out what going to happen next. Looking forward to the next one.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very enjoyable. Divorce can change many more lives than just the couple having the divorce. Evan files for divorce from his wife Ardon, he just wants it to be over. Ardon, just wants to know why, but he won’t answer her calls. The judge has his own ideas as does others involved with the couple. As in all the books by this author, strength is drawn from family and friends and you just want to keep listening to the suspenseful, fast moving story. Always looking forward to next by this author, with this narrator.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very enjoyable. These books are based on family and friends, and just like life, all emotions are shown. Anita and Miguel met at an audition, but fate puts them together as Miguel gets ready for a new movie and is riding along in her police car. His security notices they're being tracked, but it's not Miguel they're threatening. It's always interesting to see characters grown up after first meeting them as children. The suspenseful, fast moving plot will keep you listen until the end. This is a very enjoyable series that just keeps getting better.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it enjoyable. It has a slow start, but well worth the time to get the core of the story. Brunhilde Krahe is brutally murdered, only to wake up in another time period. Many things are different in this world, but one thing remains the same, cruelty and corruption. So her mission is the same. Very enjoyable and looking forward to the next one.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and extremely enjoyable. It's a new year and instead of planning their wedding, Zion and Tate are solving another murder after her half sister request her help to clear their father's name. As always an awesome story with great characters that makes you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same moment. This combination of author and narrator is just pure enjoyment.
