For millennials and later.

It's like David Chang: take grandmas recipe and add wagyu and call it yours.

Take common sense (what grandma said) add stats and call it new age.

If Audible allowed me to return it. I would.

I love this book. However, besides making me angry, it served no purpose. Why? because I have no money, no wealth, hence no power and therefore, no influence.

Mr Dimon & Co, on the other hand, should, must, read this book. But we all know they never will.

It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. I know it, you know it, and more importantly, they know it, and they've been prepping for it for decades.

I am not from the Market World but I work at a NFP that is embedded in the MW so this book really affected my perspective. Thank you Mr Giridharadas.

I'm a bit torn about this book.

On the one hand it pulls from decades of experience and expertise to offer the reader a hands on how-to guide to strengthening father-daughter relationships.

On the other hand, the information is so basic and obvious that, if you haven't been doing these things; listening, loving, protecting, providing, being present, leading by example, etc., then maybe your issue is deeper than you might realize.

Overall, I can see it being extremely helpful for some that have been searching, but there wasn't much that was earth shattering or new that 'grandma' or the Bible hasn't already taught us... maybe the lesson here is to learn to listen, and actually hear what the other person is trying to say.

This book reminded me the first time I swallowed my pride and put on a pair of readers at CVS. The sudden clarity of the world around me through those +1.25 readers was simultaneously enlightening (I can see!!!) and self deprecating (you moron, you've been squinting at your phone for how long?)

Well worth the read/listen, and Parts III & IV are essential for the times we're in... though to fully appreciate these pages, it'd help if you had a conscience.

Bravo Mr. Russell

I can't imagine a scenario in which this book will NOT help you.

Whether you bet long or short, whether you live for your kids or yourself, whether you value loyalty or instant gratification, whether you're a God fearing patriot or a money loving narcissist (you get my point), this book will lend clarity to your vision and your life.

Sigh... another first world academia publication to 'prove' with scientific terminologies and medical diagnoses what your grandma has been telling you your entire life;

Be kind
Pick good friends
Smile
Sit straight
Don't slouch
Go outside more
Sun is good for you
Eat well
Sleep
Move...

Oh, and for the 21st century, don't forget to add the obligatory:

... in order to increase productivity.
