Story
Crispin Marlowe grew up in his brother’s shadow, but Hadrian is gone, and his grandmother - the Duchess of Delos - is dying. Answering her summons, Crispin takes off on what should be a routine flight to the ducal palace from the castle at Devil’s Rest. But he is flying into a trap. There are whispers of treachery among the duchess’s many daughters, rumors of hidden knives in the planet’s court...if he can even make it there.

Story
The galaxy remembers Hadrian Marlowe as a hero: the man who burned every last alien Cielcin from the sky. They remember him as a monster: the devil who destroyed a sun, casually annihilating four billion human lives - even the emperor himself - against Imperial orders. But Hadrian was not a hero. He was not a monster. He was not even a soldier. Fleeing his father and a future as a torturer, Hadrian finds himself stranded on a strange, backwater world.

The world’s greatest bodybuilder. The world’s highest-paid movie star. The leader of the world’s sixth-largest economy. That these are the same person sounds like the setup to a joke, but this is no joke. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this did not happen by accident. Arnold’s stratospheric success happened as part of a process. Story
You can be wildly successful without losing your faith. In fact, your secular success will strengthen your faith if you allow it. Too often we believe that success in secular environments contradicts the core principles of faith, but the opposite is true: Your faith was designed to thrive in the secular world and to transform it as a result. You may never experience the true fulfillment you were created for until you pursue the secular ambitions in your heart. DeVon Franklin knows this to be true.

Spiritually Minded and Earthly Practical
Reviewed: 10-18-17
Man I appreciated this book so much right now. Though I was apprehensive at first on Devon’s play on spiritual words at first, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and this man is a truly Godly and spirit filled writer (I’m guessing in his personal life as well). They were fantastic commandments. They were such good reminders of things I’ve known in my heart, but didn’t put to words. He was very practical and heavenly minded in his writing, which you just don’t see much. He tells you how to be a better you with God’s eternal truths, without compromising! I loved his repeated dedication to the Sabbath, and not letting others alter core beliefs of his life which led to greater influence with others.

I appreciate how humble and how life giving they are. They seek to better the people around them. Also, it's amazing they do such great work and love their family well, that balance can be difficult but they seem to have found a sweet spot.

Story
It is often said, even by critical scholars who should know better, that “writing in the name of another” was widely accepted in antiquity. But New York Times bestselling author Bart D. Ehrman dares to call it what it was: literary forgery, a practice that was as scandalous then as itis today. In Forged, Ehrman’s fresh and original research takes readers back to the ancient world, where forgeries were used as weapons by unknown authors to fend off attacks to their faith and establish their church.

Don't agree but good to know
Reviewed: 05-01-15
I heard a more complete story of the opposing position to Biblical realizability and authority in this work, and I'm grateful to have understood it. I can see where those who side with the author are coming from. Though, I believe there are other positions and defenses not shared that would be a good argument against this which I find to be true. The Bible is a trustworthy source of who Jesus was and the way to salvation.
