As a firefighter, Bryce Keyes is no stranger when it comes to running into a burning building. What he didn't expect was coming face-to-face with the woman he loved years ago. Getting her out safely is one thing, but when it looks like she was the arsonist's target, Bryce realizes he can't just let her walk away again. Especially not while her life is in danger.

Story
Anitra Pollard has lived in Blueberry Beach all her life, an idyllic small, lakeside town where regular people go to escape real life. Unfortunately Anitra’s real life couldn’t get much worse, despite the idyllic setting. Her husband left not long before her oldest son was diagnosed with leukemia. Worse, the head doctor on the team assigned to her son looks very much like the man she had a short, but very sweet, summer fling with...and the father of the child she carries.

I cried for Anitra
Reviewed: 10-03-21
Anitra hasn't had an easy life since her son was diagnosed with leukemia. Her husband left just before that, and she's just managed to pay the bills and keep food on the table by having a diner in Blueberry Beach. But when a visiting newcomer shows up on the beach just when she lets down her guard, they do something neither one of them would normally do.....
When the newcomer turns out to be her son's new cancer doctor in the new hospital being built in town, things get very interesting! It turns out that the new doctor in town has been helping in the diner -- along with everyone else in town -- while Anitra has been staying with her 10 yr.-old son while he was slowly fading away.
Jessie Gussman and Jay Dyess have done it again -- given us a wonderful book full of human kindness and God's grace and love! Thank You!

She doesn't want a divorce, she just wants...something. Something more than being a single mom yet doing a man's laundry.

When Lindy finally leaves her husband, he begins to understand what she was trying to tell him all along....that she was tired of being lonely while he worked himself to the bone. But he thought he was doing it for his family's welfare and security. Now he is doing his best to win her back, and she doesn't know if she can trust him to be there for her when or if she needs him.

Story
Waitress and single mother Louise Olson wouldn’t have missed church to stay home with her sick daughter if she knew the congregation was going to volunteer her to head up the town’s Harvest Festival. Truth be told, she didn’t mind and would have enjoyed it. The problem was Sweet Water’s superstar hockey golden boy was back in town, and he had been named her co-chair. That even wouldn’t be a problem except he didn’t know he was a father - of her daughter.
