reading aloud is not the same as voice acting and not everybody is a voice actor, but it sure makes a difference when somebody can do even a little bit of voice acting to add to their narration. those are my favorite parts of these collective stories, the ones read by those who could bring some real character to the voices of the characters of the stories

Story
Why do only a few people get to say "I love my job?" It seems unfair that finding fulfillment at work is like winning a lottery; that only a few lucky ones get to feel valued by their organizations, to feel like they belong. Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work, feels trusted and valued during the day, then returns home feeling fulfilled. This is not a crazy, idealized notion. Today, in many successful organizations, great leaders are creating environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.

It is amazing to me how real timeless truths sit apart from all other information with such ease and distinction and yet so often it's the bs that's gets the most attention. Marc is clearly an example of a bearing quality fruit from genuine labors. the material he shares is worthy of standardized teaching in schools and cultures across the globe. we are blessed to have mold-breakers like him in the world.

Researcher and thought leader Dr. Brené Brown offers a powerful new vision that encourages us to dare greatly: to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to live wholeheartedly, and to courageously engage in our lives. In Daring Greatly, Dr. Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability. Based on 12 years of research, her book argues that vulnerability is not weakness but rather our clearest path to courage, engagement, and meaningful connection.

the more I find this kind of material the more I wonder why books like this one are not chosen for mandatory reading in schools. The lessons to be learned in this book could change the whole of American society for the better.

Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....
