Story
I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a trip to New Orleans for some much needed R-and-R. That was the plan. Stopping in Memphis for a night of partying, I awoke to find I had no memories of the night before, another woman had joined us in bed for the evening, and a demon sat in the hotel’s bar, wanting to talk....

Once Again Perfectly Done
Reviewed: 06-10-23
Besides fighting Vampires, Demons, and so on I find myself once again baffled at my similarities. I grew up in Mississippi and knew all too well the story of the crossroads. The story behind Robert Johnson. I love how that tidbit was added. As well as his newly found friends reminding me of someone special from my past. One being my best friend who passed away years ago. Another well told story by the narrator. A++

Story
Once I get the dame calmed down, she shows me what all the fuss is about: three stiffs in the dumpster behind Gatsby’s, stacked one on top of the other. Now, I know what you’re thinking - bodies drained of blood, two marks on the side of each neck...all signs point to shenanigans of the vampiric variety. But I’ve been on this beat long enough to know there’s always more to the story, even in a place like this.

Do I Love The Blues

Once again this book has taken my mind from the conditions of my job. The pick up from the last book was done really well. My favorite part is the blues. I see myself in Thomas, being a fan myself. I remember growing up feeling the same way. This book was phenomenal. Once again I was not let down.

Story
It was a typical February night in 1951 when she stepped into one of Nashville’s many dives and into my life. The blonde asked for my story, wanting to know what had me drinking. She had no idea it was the same thing that had me working at nights, hunting down the monsters that stalk the back alleys of my city. Back in ’31, the job was just supposed to be another bank heist - in, then out, then we'd be rich. But along with the money, we found that cursed ruby, and nothing was the same again.

Great Start To A Series

I worked 12 hours a day, and this kept me intrigued. Overall it has a great way of displaying the images of the words in my mind. I love anything that can take my mind into another world when I'm working. Something that keeps me from boredom. This audiobook delivered in all the ways I had hoped. The only downside to the whole book was that it was shorter than I wanted, but I see the other books in the series are longer. I also had the privilege of meeting the author who was a polite man. As well he sold me on his books. I can't wait to get started on the others.
