The atmosphere quickly becomes tense as she oversteps again and again: sleeping in their bed, wearing Iris' clothes, even rearranging the furniture. Laure has walked out on her husband—and their good friend—Pierre, over his confession of an affair and a secret child. Iris and Gabriel want to be supportive of their friends, but as Laure's mood becomes increasingly unpredictable, her presence takes its toll.

Lazy “twist” at end

So slow for most of the book , I began to wonder if this was a slice of life story. The ending was preposterous.

Australian gives Americans a lecture in racism

The performers were a little hit or miss with their accents. Theo sounded stuffed up for much of his narrative. The story is good but I got tired of racism in America. Just about white person is racist in the current era according to Brooks, always saying the wrong things, inappropriate thinking, etc.
