I am relieved book two was just as good as book 1! Like big deep breath relieved! and im excited for book 3 now. I have read boooks in the past where this isnt the case. The plot got even thicker and twistier and I am not happy with that cliffhanger lol but i will survive lets just hope the characters make it out of this twisty plot. I really love the detail and research you can feel went into this book from the author. There is alot of history in this book that is handled delicately and perfectly woven into the book and plot.

New to romantasy
Reviewed: 01-31-24
I am fairly new to reading and trying to figure out what I like, and I think it's safe to say I love this genre. Since I read contemporary usually, I have never read a time travel romance, but I have seen outlander and this kind of gave me the same vibes. I really enjoyed the ride through history, I felt like I was there experiencing the ancient roman times with the characters. This author and the narrators did a great job at telling this story.

The driving analogy really helped me find my comfort zone. This author and narrator are a dynamic duo. The author's words made me believe I could write and the narrator's soft comforting voice pushed me into a comforting place and “start the car.”
8th review: Lynnda Nelson is one of my favorite narrators. I came here from her narration of a CBT book and noticed she narrated this one while writing a book which is also beneficial to me as an English major who is an aspiring author.
