King is supernaturally good as the fictional assassin/fixer. Rarely gets hurt, but this time almost met his match.

I really wanted to like this book

I really wanted to like this book, since he is a veteran. However, the super human hero is just over the top. His sexual liaison with the female heroine was eye rolling at best, I will not be reading any other books from this series

Pushes credibility off a cliff

What disappointed you about Eye for an Eye?
Although we expect our heros to be larger than life, his ability to not only survive unbelievable car wrecks but come out shooting. Never getting shot even after hundreds of bullets are fired at him, but he only needs 1 shot to kill every time. I expected him to start leaping tall buildings in a single bound by the time I got to the end
What was most disappointing about Ben Coes’s story?
No basis in facts what so ever, a plane cannot not just fly around, land in foreign countries with no government involvement especially in China. I now this was fiction, but this was fantasy
Any additional comments?
Although I enjoyed the earlier Dewey books, I did not enjoy this one and struggled getting through the second half. Will probably pass on the next one.
