Story
As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves.

never will I know peace again
Reviewed: 03-21-25
This book is beautifully written and beautifully performed. my only critique on the performance is that it would have been better if he sang the songs. I cried through the entire last chapter and the epilogue and I will be crying for the rest of my life. the lore that we have received in this book Is so thick that I can't even see through it and puts the other four books into a perspective that I will never be able to overlook. a bone chilling display of propaganda and how words and points of view are twisted by hands who puppet the marionettes

Story
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.

some books are not good because they have a happy ending but because their sorrow is cathartic

this book is the best book I have ever read and this is my fifth time reading it. every time I read it I get something new. the ending always makes me cry, not because it's a bad ending, but because it reminds me that things can get better. Suzanne Collins is a literary genius and mastermind

This is a great example of how God will bless those who serves him. It seems this family has stood on Godly principles and has always loved God and love people. More family's like this and the world would be a better place. Thanks for sharing your story.
