Story
Mary Lennox starts her life as an unhappy victim of circumstance. After the loss of her parents, she moves to rural Yorkshire to live with a distant uncle where she resents the wildness of the countryside. At first, she struggles to find a place in this new existence. Although unsure about her surroundings and its occupants, through the gentle guidance of the maid she gradually becomes interested in the story of Mrs Craven, who apparently used to spend her time in a garden at the house, the key to which has vanished.

Incredible. I am very happy I got to read this lovely book. The story is wholesome and entertaining and the characters are people you want to get to know. Not to mention the amazing character development! The narrator did a great job and I felt drawn in by the way she read. This is a good book to read on a rainy day or while bored and lonely. It strikes imagination into all who read it and on many accounts I have felt happier just by the descriptions in the book. You should read this.

I think that the book was wonderful!
The narrating was amazing, and I had I good time listening to it.
I feel like the end of the book was a bit boring. I was looking for a bit more.. but I’m very glad it had a happy end.
The plot was interesting and kept me turning the pages, but I felt like it could’ve used a little more explanation.
Sadly, I wanted to finish quickly and not have to keep reading it.
I wanted to move on with it.
I do think that it was a lovely book and the author did a great job of character development. You should definitely read this. It is a great book to listen to if you are just doing random things like laundry. It helps pass the time. I do not suggest it for people who tend to be impatient. It doesn’t make me sit at the edge of my seat.

What caught your attention?
I appreciated this Sci-fi/high action series very much. It took you on a journey of insurrection with an overall thought of making the worlds a better place. I was often positively surprised where the book was extraordinarily poetic and beautifully written. There were currents of heart wrenching love, pain, loss and victory interwoven through out. Sometimes though the action scenes were a bit dull and overdone. I often lost focus and became bored during these parts.
My favorite character was Sevro he had a brass crudeness about him that had me laughing out loud and some of his insults are worth remembering, Oh. My. Gosh. He is so funny!!! I loved how Darrow had a passionate belief in honor, justice, and doing what is right. This belief propelled him into some of the most impossible situations. It was pretty cool to see how he solved problems in the face of defying all the odds. One of the most sentimental connections was that of his mother; one could picture the beauty of his love for her and the difficulty she faced her entire life merely surviving.
All in all, the author built this alternate reality very well and you can really picture what was like to be in it. The characters come to life and they feel as though they are your very own friends and family. I recommend this book to anyone who likes science fiction, action, romance, and galactic war.
