Story
Paris Minton is a man who would just as soon walk away from trouble as stand up to it. But in 1950s Los Angeles, sometimes trouble just comes and gets you. When one of L.A.'s wealthiest women hires Paris and his friend Fearless Jones to find a missing nephew, Paris steps into the a complex and terrifying corner of the black bourgeoisie, and wonders whom he should fear more - the people he's looking for or the people he's working for.

Outstanding story great characters. Classic noir told from an African American perspective. Don Cheadle was excellent. He took the story to another level.

Ra is my all time favorite emcee, so in my opinion there is nothing that he do that is bad because of his approach to things. He answers a lot questions about things that I have always wondered him, and confirmed what was that was so intriguing about him to me in the first place. For over 30 years dude has been making music that has inspired me, and this book is the lifting of the veil of what makes him tick. A must read for ANY aspiring contemporary artist. I chose to get this audiobook book because I had to hear it in his voice so that I could fully comprehend where he was coming from. Praises to the GOD emcee!
