An honest narrative about the journey of his quest

Although there are many details which I could do without it was interesting to get the perspective of a sceptical person. My personal opinion is that the meditation which he was doing had limitations and that led to some of the things which was confusing for him. Anyway overall I liked the honesty and frankness with which it was approached.

Story
Tibetan Buddhist master Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse, one of the most creative and innovative lamas teaching today, throws down the gauntlet to the Buddhist world, challenging common misconceptions, stereotypes, and fantasies. With wit and irony, Khysentse urges readers to move beyond the superficial trappings of Buddhism - beyond the romance with beads, incense, or exotic robes - straight to the heart of what the Buddha taught.

I did not hope that all views would be factual but still there are some basics Which were presented incorrectly. Like The assertion that the Buddha asked us to be vegetarian. Which was never the case. Overall spoken from the personal beliefs and not trying to be objective. Which is alright but not very convincing.

Story
The stand-up comedian of his generation. Star of stage and screen. Tireless supporter of charity. Runner. Political campaigner. Fashion icon. Human. There is no one quite like Eddie Izzard. This is the story of how a boy who wanted to become a professional footballer and win the lead in Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat found comedy.

Story
This treasury of essential Buddhist writings draws from the most popular Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, and Japanese sources. Among the selections are some of the earliest recorded sayings of the Buddha on the practice of freedom, passages from later Indian scriptures on the perfection of wisdom, verses from Tibetan masters on the enlightened mind, and songs in praise of meditation by Zen teachers.

Not everything was Buddha's teachings disappointed
Reviewed: 06-25-17
I liked the concept but the addition of Mahayana teachers and meditation instructions as Buddha's teachings is completely unacceptable. The Buddha never gave such meditation instructions. Also when you have a Book on Buddha's teachings then why dilute it with other teachers. If I wanted to listen to zen and Mahayana teachers I will do so when I like.

I really think that this was Sean Penn who wrote this story and wanted to use some coded physiological to influence the vote. I think he failed utterly.
