The Rum Diary was begun in 1959 by a then-22-year-old Hunter S. Thompson. It was his first novel and he told his friend, the author William Kennedy, that The Rum Diary would "in a twisted way...do for San Juan what Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises did for Paris."

The book is one of my favorites, but after ten minutes i couldnt listen any more, the guy reading is totally oblivious to the atmosphere of the story. Sorry, but not worth downloading.

Good book
Reviewed: 03-23-12
What made the experience of listening to The Zombie Survival Guide the most enjoyable?
The detail put into pretty much everything, survivaltech, gear, backstory, etc.
What other book might you compare The Zombie Survival Guide to and why?
World war z, another book by max brooks
Any additional comments?
Some contradictions in the book, ex, a zombie cant climb a ladder but an anchorchain.. And in one chapter animals have no problem eating dead zombies as in all the other chapters they avoid necrotic flesh.. But, small things in the whole!
This book is an excellent listen.
The reader is great, but I wish it would hav been read by max brooks instead, he was good in WWZ
