Add thousands of pieces of revelations to your storehouse of disturbing evidence that our government has been hiding the truth from the very beginning. A compelling read from beginning to end.
Unfortunately, the performance was absolutely the worst I have ever heard from an audio book. The mispronunciations were continuous and consistently the same. In the last two chapters, the editing was remarkably poor. Sections were repeated and at one point, she says “okay”, apparently to someone else in the room. It is often difficult to understand things because she does not follow rules of punctuation properly and her emphasis is often totally incorrect.

This book is a disappointment in so many ways. It was never compelling. The bright point was the narrator. He was probably the best I have heard. His voice changes were remarkably consistent across each character. The best part of his narration was the acting. If someone was injured or in pain, kudos to the performance. The book itself? Too many issues to beg to describe.

Having been alive when JFK and Bobby were assassinated, I have always been convinced as virtually everyone my age that the assassinations were not carried out the way the government would have us to believe. This is a fascinating, new to me, explanation of the conspiracy that seems totally plausible. I suppose that we will all die wondering, but it is comforting to know that there are intelligent and connected people who also know we have been lied to for many decades. There are a lot of details in this book that are extremely compelling.

This book captures one’s imagination and heart. A tragic and beautiful story intertwined. And the suspense maintained until the very end. BRAVO

Lacy is supposed to be the heroin in this book, but she does nothing but skirt the issues. The story has a great deal of redundancy. Things we already know are repeated many times. There is never any edge of your seat action. Sorry, but Grisham has done much better.

You had read the entire series prior to this and was always enthralled with the stories and the writing. This, however would have been better left unwritten. There was never any perceivable plot or direction. It was continuous revisiting of old characters and events. There was nothing that ever captured my imagination or left me anxious to learn more. It was a laborious read. Almost quit several times.

I ran for United States Congress myself and I can assure you that there is nothing these parties and politicians will not do to a person who is sincere and altruistic. Things that happened to me were not as severe as what happened to Mr. Papadoulos, but I’m certain his story is true. People need to know.

This is either a poorly written book or poorly edited. Probably both. For some reason, the author seemed to be padding the book in unusual ways. For some reason, he decided that every vehicle driven should be described by telling details about its engine, horsepower and zero to 60 times. Additionally, the book has MANY passages and sentences that are repeated word for word in other parts of the book. Not sure if that was poor editing or just more padding. The reader was okay, but her use of male voices was not particularly good. To her defense, there were a huge number of male characters and remembering all the voices used would have been difficult. The story, while timely given the technologies that are being considered now by the credited Elon Musk and others, but reached more into the realm of science fiction than drama/mystery.
All in all, a very disappointing listen. A waste of 15 hours.

Absolutely pathetic

I have read (or started to read a few bad books before), but nothing is as bad as this book. There is no story or anything remotely revealing or interesting at all in the book. Top that off with the most pathetic readers you could imagine, including the "professional" reader who sounds like something too melodramatic for even 1940's and '50s movie theater film shorts. I really should demand my credit back.
DON'T BUY, DON'T LISTEN, DON'T READ, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. BAD, BAD, BAD. THE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T RATE IT A ZERO IS THAT YOU HAVE TO PUT AT LEAST ONE STAR.

Very disappointing

Overall
2 out of 5 stars

Reviewed: 11-22-10

I am sorry to say that this book was very disappointing on many levels. The reader was excellent except that he could not do anything resembling a woman's voice. Fortunately, he did not have to worry too much as there are only three women in the book. He was not able to capture young people either, but it was still pretty well read.
The biggest problem, of course, was the writing. The author continuously developed characters and stories that just disappeared. The main character ended up being a lot less than the main character. A love interest was developed to just go away completely with no more mention of it. The story was tremendously tedious. Most of the time was spent building the reader up for a huge main character who never really delivered the goods. There is absolutely no action until the last chapter or two and that action is just not worth the wait. And I am not sure where the title came from as it does not seem to have anything to do with the reality of the story.
I fell asleep on this one many times. Sorry, it was not good.
