This is probably the best book you will ever download without charge. I can't wait to read Book 2, even if I DO have to pay for it.

The narration was beyond bad
Reviewed: 12-08-24
The story was really quite good. But the narration was the worst I've ever heard in an Audible Book, It was like a woman with a strong English accent was just reading out loud. Every character, situation and commentary sounded the same.

On the whole, I must admit I never felt the characters were in any way realistically depicted. Everyone behaved foolishly at all times. No way I felt any compassion or connection for any of them.

Most every male character in this book is represented as constantly making sexist remarks and offensive sexual overtones to the main character. She is really portrayed as a tool, IMO.

The Best San Francisco Thriller I've Read
Reviewed: 05-22-23
As a native San Franciscan, I critique any publication taking place in my hometown more harshly than it often warrants.
That being said, The Voice Inside, serves as an esoteric guidebook to the unique essence of our neighborhoods. In addition, the story is superb. White knuckles, unexpected twists and turns, made this a 10 hour ride I couldn't stop listening to. Definitely recommend!
