Story
Aaron Fortin is new in town. He drives a brand-new Acura—a gift from his parents for uprooting him in the middle of senior year. Showing up on his first day at the local public school in that nice of a car? He knows he’ll never blend in, and he doesn’t care to try. The car, the new-kid mystique, he can use all that.... Crystal Giordano carpools to the same school in her friend Trevor’s beat-up van. In the van along with Crystal and Trevor are Paul, Harmony, and Gayle. Crystal’s technically part of their misfit group, but most of the time, she feels like she’s the only one who doesn’t fit.

Loved this book. Had my attention from the get go. The performance on this was great. Didn’t feel like they were reading a book for a second. Only negative comment I can say is I wish it was longer.

Should not associate this with the movie.
Reviewed: 03-05-24
By Chapter 5 I realized this book was nothing like the movie. And it almost ruined it for me. Which I know is my fault. I went in with Will smith and Sam the German shepherd in my head. If you can disassociate the book from the movie, it’s a really good story. I had to go back and relisten in the middle. It didn’t keep my attention. Had a great ending and overall story.

Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

This was a fantastic listen. Wasn’t sure another audiobook could pull off a World War Z style. This audiobook in my opinion was better. Had me hooked from the the start.

An ordinary family man, geologist, and Mormon, Soren Johansson has always believed he'll be reunited with his loved ones after death in an eternal hereafter. Then, he dies. Wasn’t sure what to expect. Bought this out of curiosity of the title. It was really good. Wish it was longer, but where it ended makes sense.

Story
Caleb Lambert kills people for a living. The money is nice, but it comes a distant second to his primary reason for choosing such a vocation: Caleb often calls it “scratching an itch”. Here’s the thing, though: Caleb won’t just accept any contract. He and his team thoroughly vet each and every prospective mark to make sure they deserve to be punished.

This was probably my favorite book out of The Bad Games series related books. I’m really hoping we get more from the series.

This series was great. The parts about it that I didn’t like, were the parts that I wanted to go a different way. Hoping for a few cliche endings I guess lol. I was hooked the entire series. I’m about to get “Caleb” the spin off for Caleb Lambert to the series. Would be awesome if they did a prelude to the Arty and Jim leading up to meeting Patrick at the gas pump also. Either way, hands down my favorite book series I have read/listened to. Narrator is great too. A+ on choice to read the series.

I mean it’s an ok story. The blog chapters were really confusing at first, and then had me mentally check out later. The story is good. Not fantastic. Listened to this looking for something to freak me out at night while everyone was in bed. Kind of a bust. Again, decent story, but not very scary. The blog chapters kill any vibe of freaking someone out while they read or listen.
